Bear Market

Over a week ago, I spotted a wild scene on TV, a commercial for a Teddy Bear Toss that night at the local hockey arena. I think the exact words out of my mouth were “HOLY SHIT!”

Could have been a waste of time, as a good friend suggested. Or maybe there’d be a fun photo. Thought I’d take a chance.

It took all but the final 2 minutes of the game for Portland to score a goal – and set off a surreal scene of 22,000 flying furries. Completely insane.

Looks like my time wasn’t wasted after all. Made some photos I like – and even scored a ZOOM double-truck in ESPN The Magazine, “On newsstands now…”

Who says vegging on the couch isn’t work??
